Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lootti ("Lootti", "we", "us") governing your use of the Lootti app and website. By downloading, accessing, or using Lootti, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use Lootti.
1. Who can use Lootti
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and a parent or legal guardian setting up Lootti for children in your household. You are responsible for your family's use of the app, including the children you add.
2. Your account and family
You sign in with your email to create a family. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Children join on their own device using a one-time code you generate; they do not have their own accounts.
3. How Lootti works
You assign tasks that are worth in-app coins. Your child completes them — optionally attaching a photo you review — and earns coins that convert into real-world rewards you define. Coins, streaks, and rewards are part of the game: they have no monetary value, are not currency, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
4. Subscriptions and billing (Lootti Pro)
Lootti is free to start. Lootti Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks Pro features: adding more than one child, requiring photo proof on tasks, and future Pro features as they're released.
Plans and pricing. Lootti Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription at $4.99 / month or $29.99 / year, or as a one-time $99 lifetime purchase. Prices may vary by region and are always shown in the app before you buy.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trial. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their policies; refunds are requested through them, and we generally cannot issue store refunds directly.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Lootti — no reverse-engineering, reselling, or using it unlawfully, and no uploading content that is illegal or infringes others' rights. Keep any photos used in the app appropriate and lawful.
6. Children's safety
Lootti has no child-to-child contact, no public content, and no advertising. You, the parent, decide which tasks are assigned and whether photos are used. You are responsible for the content within your family.
7. Content and intellectual property
Lootti and its software, design, and content are owned by us. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your family. The family data and photos you create remain yours; you grant us the limited license needed to store and process them to operate the service.
8. Third-party services
Billing is handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat; core infrastructure by Supabase; analytics by PostHog; and diagnostics by Sentry. Your use of those parts is also subject to the respective providers' terms.
9. Disclaimers
Lootti is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee any particular parenting or behavioral outcome, and Lootti is not a medical, psychological, or educational service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lootti will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these Terms from time to time; we'll surface material changes and update the date above, and continued use means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using Lootti and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
12. Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and Lootti only, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for support, and they have no warranty obligations with respect to it. Apple and Google (and their subsidiaries) are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of Lootti is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
